How to add Vulkan (DXVK) to Tera Online (64-bit) / PSA if you have reshade installed with DXVK.

Here's a guide of how implement Vulkan into Tera. Most of the instructions are done, thanks to Hide!

Few things about DXVK:


- Supports just about most dx11/dx10/dx9 games (without any anti-cheats enabled)

- Will result in improvements with FPS, a perfect game for example is GTA IV and its traitorous PC Port.

 

 Instructions for DXVK guide: 


(practically doubling fps, but you will have to alt-tab to see shinra overlay and TCC will not be supported) 

 

Your graphics card requires Vulkan support:

  1.  Navigate to this website: https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases
  2. Download dxvk-1.7.1.tar.gz (or latest version)
  3. Unzip dxvk-1.7.1.tar.gz
  4. Unzip the tar file
  5. Open the folder you unzipped, go to the "x64" folder and copy d3d11.dll and dxgi.dll into your TERA\Client\Binaries folder alongside the DXVK.conf file provided from discord.

PSA: If you have Reshade installed:  

Both reshade and DXVK use a file called "dxgi.dll"

its in "C:\Program Files\MT - The Dream\Client\Binaries" or default file location depending on what private server you use. 

If this file is replaced with DXVK version, it will cause reshade to stop working, I would recemmend, backing up "dxgi.dll" from Reshade... or just reinstall Reshade after your done installing DXVK. 

When reinstalling with Reshade: Select Vulkan, instead of DX11/DX10 setting.

Once that done, you should be good to go.


Few important things: 

- Check your steam overlay, not sure if its my device specifically, but it disables upon adding reshade (Vulkan ver), resulting in odd crashes with other games that depend on it, just to let you guys know.

- Will cause issues with Xbox Game bar if you try to screenshot the game. From my experience.
